I recently completed a project creating images for the West Hartford Children's Museum new dinosaur exhibit. The project involved about 20 small (2' x 3') images, and three 16 x 20 foot murals. You can see one of the murals in the image below. The mural depicts feathered dinosaurs (Yutyrannus, Psittacosaurus, Caudipteryx and Sinosauropteryx) to contrast with the model of Deinonychus that is not feathered to display the changing views of dinosaurs. Link to two stories about the opening of the exhibit with additional images.……

A 9-ton block of sandstone containing what may be up to 9 Utahraptors representing ages from hatchling to adult is stalled due to funding cuts. Please see the article above, and if you can find any way to help support the project, please do so. Any donation helps!

This past week I visited London and spent a day at the Natural History Museum. This is a stunningly beautiful building, steeped in history. The display of marine reptiles is absolutely walk into a room that must be 30 or 40 feet high (can't find a reference to the size) and is loaded, floor to ceiling with framed displays of ichthyosaurs, plesiosaurs and mosasaurs. Oddly, there's also a Megatherium in the corner. With all due respect to my British followers though, I have to say that I found the dinosaur hall a disappointment. Most of the skeletons are displayed on "floating" platforms way above your head and in extremely dim lighting. The majority of the display is "interactive" displays. Maybe I'm just too old school.
I'll be loading the images over the next couple days. Lnhm2 by PaleoGuy

To my watchers....I'm going to London at the end of September and am wondering if anyone can give me info on the natural history museum or any other venues in the city to see dinosaurs. Send me a message if you can help.
This fossil is making some news, but it seems likely (probable?) it's a chimera (a fossil hodgepodge of several animals). Read Andrew Cau's assessment here:…

PrehistoricSuperpredators by PaleoGuy

Hi all,
I'm looking for your ideas. I'm working on a book called "Prehistoric Superpredators" and would like to know what animals you think should be included. These are not limited to dinosaurs, but any ancient animal you consider the coolest and most fearsome, that qualify for the title "Superpredator."

Give me your list of up to 10 animals.
