So I'm looking for feedback...
I'm working on a new book that will focus on Mesozoic marine reptiles. The idea being to be comprehensive but not exhaustive. The emphasis is on A) Important, B) Cool, C) Different.
Here's the list so far....what's missing? What else should be included. Again, Mesozoic (Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous) and  marine reptiles only - no terrestrials or dinosaurs:

    1.     Mosasaurus

    2.     Platecarpus

    3.     Plioplatecarpus

    4.     Clidastes

    5.     Dakotasaurus

    6.     Tylosaurus

    7.     Globidens

    8.     Pannoniasaurus

    9.     Chaosaurus

    10.  Hupehsuchus

    11.  Cymbospondylus

    12.  Shonisaurus

    13.  Guanlingsaurus

    14.  Streptospondylus

    15.  Temnnodontosaurus

    16.  Utatsusaurus

    17.  Rhomaleosaurus

    18.  Liopleurodon

    19.  Megacephalosaurus

    20.  Kronosaurus

    21.  Trinacromerum

    22.  Dolichorhynchops

    23.  Elasmosaurus

    24.  Augustasaurus

    25.  Cryptoclidus

    26.  Aristonectes

    27.  Moturneria

    28.  Plesiosaurus

    29.  Nothosaurus

    30.  Dakosaurus

    31.  Henodus

    32.  Placodus

    33.  Archelon

    34.  Mesosaurus

    35.  Geosaurus/Metriorhynchus

    36.  Tanystropheus

    37.  Atopodentatus…

Never really bought into that idea myself anyway...

Hello! Your artwork looks fantastic! I'm working on my own dinosaur documentary series, like Walking with Dinosaurs, but with more episodes and new, accurate dinosaur facts and models. The series will be called "Dinosauria: Ascension, Domination, Downfall". We have the scripts for four episodes done, two animators, a team, two of which are getting a degree in paleontology, and we have contacted two paleontologists for consultation (Jack Horner and Steve Brusatte). I was wondering if you were willing to contribute to the project in any way, whether that be ideas, artwork, 3D models, etc. Thanks! :)

Thanks for doing all these pictures. They're amazing, and helpful for the world I'm trying to make for a book, which I hope will become a series.

Hey PaleoGuy, just saw your newest render of a pair of Utahraptor attacking a Gastonia. Once again, really nice job!
Say, you think it's likely that Utahraptor would have likely only gone after immature Gastonia, since they would likely be vulnerable due to their still developing armor, seeing as they were also ankylosaurids?
PaleoGuy Featured By Owner Dec 22, 2017
Thanks Jason. I think all predators are largely opportunistic and would take the old, the young, the infirm whenever possible.
