Platecarpus

Continuing my series on the Western Interior Seaway. The 4.5-meter mosasaur Platecarpus snaps at a small Xiphactinus fish, while a Baculite swims in the foreground, and Styxosaurus prowls in the back. Platecarpus was one of the most common mosasaurs worldwide.
